Community

Caring Counseling Ministries, JCity Center for Hope and Renewal, and Take Action Today would like to thank our Corporate Sponsors, hole sponsors, golf teams, and volunteers for supporting us in our 2023 annual golf scramble! This year  we were able to raise more than $18,000.00 which will be split between the three organizations.!! These much-appreciated funds will go towards supporting better mental health, recovery support, and community development here in your local southern Illinois cities.

We hope you will consider participating next year.

International Overdose Awareness Day

Last year more than 3,500 Illinoisans lost their life to a drug overdose; more than 70% of those deaths were related to opioids. On August 31st, each year we pause to remember the family members, friends, and community members we have lost.                                                  #IOAD #narcansaveslives

Christmas Care Packages

Over the last few months, our Peers have been able to work with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County Jail to develop the Recovery Education and Re-entry Prep Program. This unique Program supports residents of the jail who are seeking recovery from substance use. This year for Christmas our Peers were able to deliver 100 Christmas Care Packages that promote recovery by reconnecting people with a support system that values them and believes that they have purpose and meaning. Each care package also contained a unique Christmas card with a handwritten message of support from our Peers and members of the community.
