Christmas Care Packages

Over the last few months, our Peers have been able to work with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County Jail to develop the Recovery Education and Re-entry Prep Program. This unique Program supports residents of the jail who are seeking recovery from substance use. This year for Christmas our Peers were able to deliver 100 Christmas Care Packages that promote recovery by reconnecting people with a support system that values them and believes that they have purpose and meaning. Each care package also contained a unique Christmas card with a handwritten message of support from our Peers and members of the community.

On October 2nd, 2021 we held the official grand opening and dedication of the J City Center for Hope & Renewal and Take Action Today’s Johnston City location, where together, with God leading the way, we will continue to work diligently and tirelessly to bring hope to those in Southern Illinois who are battling to turn their lives around. We are so thankful for everyone along the way who has stepped up to help during this long journey and we have no doubt that as a team, we will be able to begin changing the stigma of addiction, homelessness, and poverty in our communities and in doing so, shine an even brighter light on the needs of Southern Illinois!
